The Wendy’s Company is the world’s third largest quick-service hamburger company with more than 6,500 franchise and company restaurants in the U.S. For over 40 years their brand promise has been to serve customers higher quality, freshly prepared food. That's exactly what Wendy's® wanted to educate consumers on with the highly successful "That's Wendy's Way" campaign; a combination of social media, facts, quotes, TV and online media.

We built an award-winning, rich, interactive Facebook, Web and Mobile experience featuring facts about the brand, food sourcing documentaries, quotes from founder Dave Thomas and a channel to inspire online conversations.

The goal was to build an interactive, animated experience all on HTML in order to accommodate all desktop and tablet devices. Our strategy included developing an HTML5 and JavaScript engine for this parallax-style, horizontal scrolling animated landscape. Once we fine tuned our engine for speed, touch input, scrolling, image optimization and just the right amount of easing and perspective distortion, we moved on to developing additional components to animate individual elements through sprites, integrating social media plug-ins and building a separate mobile-optimized experience.
